TGIF :X Let's relax and 'dress down'???

The term "dressing down" simply mean that one do away with his/ her power suit (which is a MUST wear to work everyday) and be clad in causal clothes :)

For example, a woman who work in the office form 9-5 who is required to wear a formal skirted suit each day; due to her company having strict dress codes. On one particular day (decided by her company) she 'given the right' to come to back in T-shirt and jeans. Isn't that great?

Recently, more and more companies (esp. in European countries) employers set aside one day of the week--usually Friday-- to allow its workers to 'dress down' in whatever comfortable clothes they like. This means that you are more likely to see T-shirts and jeans rather than suits and jackets!

This is very popular and welcomed greatly by the young grads who just stepped into working life. Many youths have even proposed to their company in adopting this appoach of a "drees-down" day...

However, one issue to discuss is the fact that research has shown that when women are not dressed professionally, they tend not to be taken seriously (-_-) In that case, is it still wise for women, especially, to choose to dress down???

Personally, i feel that it is just the apparent image that people will get when eg a lawyer dress down in denim ;instead of his power suit will be 'look down' on. In other words, people will doubt your capability then.

I believe this not only applies to women, it is true too for men as well (",) It is up to each individual to make sure that causal days do not undermine their ability and talent. How you carry yourself is the most important factor here, not what you wear...

For those who are always happy-go-lucky and dun mind dressing down, it is perfectly +) As for those who are so used to their Power suit, perhaps, they should try to take off the black jacket for a day to try on something different!?!

Afterall, it is always nice to "Spice up your life" with something NEW rather than the mandune routine daily, agree???
