Door-to-Door

Oh yeah, this is what i call Mutli-racial Singapore...

12 Jan 2008- SHF Health Screening for Thaman Jurong Residents =) This is a project by NUS Medical Soc ppl and we get to help them out as volunteers to go door-to-door providing Free Health Checks- BMI, Blood glucose, Blood pressure and distribute FBOT kit for the elderly.











And you know what? The 4 households (out of 6 units on my group's list) that allowed us in consist of different races; ie, we met Malays, Chinese and even Indian family! Although my group encountered language barriers when communiciating with the old "Grandmothers and Grandfathers", J and me, together with Year 3 Medical and Year 1 Nursing student, managed to carry out our tasks successfully :) It was really great to complete the whole afternoon's hardwork! Following that was even more exciting--Buffer dinner and our class meeting Education Minister:












What a meaningful way to spend my Saturdae +)
