" Continue running, it's downhill!" Yeah, that's right-- go on all the way. Don't give up!!!
What i see in all (99.9%) of the student population is that they persevered till the end. I was positioned at the last lap of the whole 3.2m course where they turn into the park again after the long stretch of 'expressway run' :X
I can tell you straiight in the face that it is not easy to complete this triring course which includes rocky slope, hill gradient, muddy trackks and the most challenging part where you run on the side of the expressway with cars rapidly 'by-passing' poor litlle you...
I tired it myself b4 and i'm just so exhausted after the whole race. So, i was rather glad that i'm on duty 2dae. Actually, i didn't choose to be in uniform but becos our beloved Sec 2s and 3s went to Ubin for camp so as seniors oso the oni ones left, we did marshalling :p
After the whole afternoon yesterdae shouting " 1, 2 PULL" , i gotta continuously call out and encourage runners of all levels to "RUN along the pavement"... This is 'killing' my voice and throat (",)
But, knowing that they are your fellow schoolmates, i must do this. Lyk what i said previously, " Together we make the difference". Although we didn't run physically, we can give them emotional support. Yeah!
A number of teachers ran too but it is far less thatn last year's. We, too, cheered them on. Great job to all who have ran! For those who didn't even put in the effort, worst stay in the tent throughout ( you noe who you are) ...Whatever.
i will lyk to end off with this interseting Quetion posed by my (former) Maths teacher:
If one didn't run in Cross Country but walked the whole course of distance 3.2m. What is the displacement???
Answer is OZero... not 3.2!
Think about the scenario again and you shall be enlighten!?!
