Happie b-dae to my beloved MUMMY...
2dae, or rather, this nite is my MUM's birthdae and i just finished celebrating wif her =)
As her b-dae is on the 15 OCT, i made my very first cake for her the dae b4 @ my Auntie's house!!! I used the 'easy-to-follow' cake mix by WHITE WINGS. It is fairly simple as they really gave step by step instructions and even featured photos! This is best for beginners lyk me who haf not bake a single cake in the whole of your life...
When i was shopping for this cake mix, i bought a box of chocolate chips though it was quite ex... Aniwae, i added ( i shld sae) lots of them into the choco cake to make it haf the real chocolate-ly taste but to my dismay, they turned out to be the one 'spoiling' the cake :(
In a way, the cake is still edible but the cake doesn't rise well due to the fact that the chips are too heavy and pressed the whole cake down during the baking process<<< LOL>>>
Worst still, the choco chips melted when placed into the 160 *C -180 *C oven for 40-45 mins then, So the cake turned out to be very mushy and watery inside :p Luckily the outside appearance of the cake is not so bad afterall...
On the dae itself, i went to buy buy a pink bottle of 'red wine' home! I'm reallie sorri that i onli reached home @ 11pm and hope mother will not mind...Hahax. Aniwae, this romantic 'red grape wine' became part of the celebration too =)
Her daugthers hereby will reallie lyk to wish her a averi happy b-dae and hope she enjoyed the 'mini party' we planned for her this year-- not to 4get my unique own made "cream cake" which she gave 75 marks for my devoted effort!!!
