Yesterdae was my 1st day of Work @ MOENEC...
I have came to like this short form for our Com under the Planning division; as well as like-ing the idea of being a standard Office person who works from 8 to 5pm (or rather my day ends oni @ 6pm ;)
Let me tell you what happened to my very first visit to MOE ytd :p
Upon exchanging for Visitor pass using my IC @ the security counter, i was so earger that i headed straight to the very first lift and Up it go... not to my intended level unfortunately (*_*)
I realised it after witnessing the lift opening at random levels and OMG, it's actually customised lifts so every individual will have to press their level before boarding and see which Lift it directs you to! One can't just go into any lift that we like and hope that it go to your floor Haha. It was so embarrassing to have to ask those adults in Lift A then and get off the lift like an ignorant little rat +)
Why rat? Dun ask me... the whole lift lobby area is GREY in colour so perhaps it reminds me of timid cutie rat LOL
By the way, i saw on my way after work 2dae that the movie--Ratatouille is out in the Dics shop already :) Haha, me wanted to watch it but no time when it was released then :D
Aniwae, back to my work place, there isn't much amenities there; and i was utterly disappointed that the nearest canteen (it's within the building) is nothing comparable to the usual Foodcourts that i patronise.
However, i was glad that Office is a very nice place to be in =) It's a condusive environment purely for thinking officers to work in.. They have hot/cold water dispenser and 2 Microwaves (for Muslims and Non Muslims separately) at every single level and the best thing is i have my own work place (inclusive of nicely finished wooden desk, 2 cushioned chairs and 1 computer)
since they have an extra cell currently (^_^)
HQ is all about paper work and decision making. The process can be tedious at times, but it's highly interesting for an average person like me to go thru' and witness them all :X
It's also my luck to be greeted with the NE award briefing for all schools (and Yes, it's for the Principal or NE coordinator of every Primary, Secondary and JCs). A very grand event for me to attend and help out @ the Reception. Talking about Reception stuffs, i'm most familiar with it... Haha, i have done uncountable times of reception girl of all sort of events but this is certainly the one of a formal one for all School leaders and Rep @ MOE, yeah!
As for my second working day 2dae, i am SO glad that my guiding officer praised me for the good efficiency in submitting the Talking points for MOS' dialogue session; which she have oni assigned to me ytd (~_~)
Yipee, it's my style to do things to the best of my ability once i started it!
(P/s: Thanks to Lim who have reminded me this strength of myself =P)
i look forward to more exciting work assigned to me in the days to come...
No doubt, i'm starting to love this job of mine bit by bit and with the help of friendly staffs that i have around me, i took me less than a day to be immersed into this great place; which i will have the priceless chance to stay on for 2 weeks (-_-)
Hope that i will take away valuable knowledge and fond memories then =)
