Yesterdae, my class had a BBQ gathering at kz's Condo:X Despite the rain, they managed to set up the fire and cooked some food. Poker Kings and Queens gathered around the table and let's see who's the winner then +)





The few of us wanted to go for Countdown tgt but the plan failed due to ??? so we will have to postpone the gethering to next year :p





Anyway, i already have a Countdown mini party @ my Uncle's house but unfortunately i didn't managed to catch Hao in his new 77th street outfit (*_*)





So much so for this year and let's hope the yaer of the RAT will be a better one =)

Many have watched the orignial film in Year 2004/5 and trust me, this part 2 (not 100% related tough) is certainly not a disappointing one too!

The movie is 2h+ long but Very engaging and seriously i think it's worthwhile watching it with...

Christmas is finally coming :)

Although things have been a little different this year, i'm still glad that i get to celebrate Christmas happily!!!

Despite not having a Countdown party on the eve, i was warmly invited to join in the Xmas celebration party @ Susie's house =) It was very great; perhaps one of the most enjoyable one that i have ever went to...

Tired yet we linger around until pretty late on Christmas Day and not to forget the inter.gift exchange session that we have :P

I gotta this very nice Perlini's Silver necklace from SK and trust me- 2007's Xmas is unforgetable too (*_*)

If only i can spend each Christmas with you guys every year+) Haha...Merry Xmas to all.

Last nite was a wonderful night for all...

DnD for J2s was held @ 5star hotel :D

I can't believe my eyes when i see them dress-up!

The whole event was so exciting and fun =)

Organising a function for more tham 400 ppl is indeed not an easy one (*_*)

Besides, we gotta establish links with many external organisations such as Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel itself to make the whole event happen successfully +) For instance, preparing this Grand Ballroom that most couples have their bonquets is already a very big challenge for all of us!

Till now, i still can't believe that months of preparation has come to an end and that the whole event has ended :X The atmosphere then was so pleasant and i guess each and every member of DnD Organising Committee 2007 will never forget such an interesting night :)

Special thanks to my beloved Admin Com who have worked tgt happily to make everything possible (",) Thanks gals, so much for all your help that you all have contributed to the team since we just started in Term 2.

All our hard work is well paid-off when we witness the event running smoothly ytd and Ms Leong commenting on our great effort :p If the opportunity arises and time premits, i will love to work with you guys again (^_^) Best wishes and let's enjoy the remaining of our holiday after the stayover @ hotel...

This is what i mean by 5STAR hotel and their services...

As the Admin head for this year's DnD, i get to choose the colour and type of linen to be used for all the tables and stuffs =) Great, feel as though it's like a wedding bonquet :p

Although we unbearable-ly gave the Food Tasting session a go, we still enjoyed the Hotel visits and the hospitality of Ms E. She is indeed a real-life example of how 5 star service is to be like +)

Can't wait for the actual event to take place CLASSIC-ally in Grand Ballroom during December!

At work 2dae, i took quite some time to pack up before knocking off; pondering over what to bring home and what not since it will be a dae Off tml :p Perhaps, this is what is gg to happen for me again this 1st weekend bah!





Anyway i brought a Nice pinky cushion, all the way form my house to Bouna Vista, for my Office chair 2dae to free myself from all the backache from hours of sitting :D


P/s: Very funny hor, don't require you to stand for hours still complain so much LOL.





the change of MRT direction in the mornings has caused me to discover new things; as well as new guys (-_-) Dots, i am just attracted to this 上班族 that i happened to meet with ytd in that West-bound train packed with adults rushing 'eargerly' for work...





He is simply Cool, dressed in Guy's standard Office Wear- White long sleeves and black trousers... And the interesting thing is he carries his black leathery-like-suitcase bag on his left shoulder yet holds a blue ball point pen in his right hand to try out the Sudoku Challenge that 我报 has every morning =)





The way he concentrates all his attention in the puzzle but constantly look at (at me!?!) is just so OMG... Too bad he alighted earlier than me and i didn't get to see him this morning then :(

Yesterdae was my 1st day of Work @ MOENEC...





I have came to like this short form for our Com under the Planning division; as well as like-ing the idea of being a standard Office person who works from 8 to 5pm (or rather my day ends oni @ 6pm ;)





Let me tell you what happened to my very first visit to MOE ytd :p





Upon exchanging for Visitor pass using my IC @ the security counter, i was so earger that i headed straight to the very first lift and Up it go... not to my intended level unfortunately (*_*)





I realised it after witnessing the lift opening at random levels and OMG, it's actually customised lifts so every individual will have to press their level before boarding and see which Lift it directs you to! One can't just go into any lift that we like and hope that it go to your floor Haha. It was so embarrassing to have to ask those adults in Lift A then and get off the lift like an ignorant little rat +)





Why rat? Dun ask me... the whole lift lobby area is GREY in colour so perhaps it reminds me of timid cutie rat LOL





By the way, i saw on my way after work 2dae that the movie--Ratatouille is out in the Dics shop already :) Haha, me wanted to watch it but no time when it was released then :D





Aniwae, back to my work place, there isn't much amenities there; and i was utterly disappointed that the nearest canteen (it's within the building) is nothing comparable to the usual Foodcourts that i patronise.





However, i was glad that Office is a very nice place to be in =) It's a condusive environment purely for thinking officers to work in.. They have hot/cold water dispenser and 2 Microwaves (for Muslims and Non Muslims separately) at every single level and the best thing is i have my own work place (inclusive of nicely finished wooden desk, 2 cushioned chairs and 1 computer)


since they have an extra cell currently (^_^)





HQ is all about paper work and decision making. The process can be tedious at times, but it's highly interesting for an average person like me to go thru' and witness them all :X





It's also my luck to be greeted with the NE award briefing for all schools (and Yes, it's for the Principal or NE coordinator of every Primary, Secondary and JCs). A very grand event for me to attend and help out @ the Reception. Talking about Reception stuffs, i'm most familiar with it... Haha, i have done uncountable times of reception girl of all sort of events but this is certainly the one of a formal one for all School leaders and Rep @ MOE, yeah!





As for my second working day 2dae, i am SO glad that my guiding officer praised me for the good efficiency in submitting the Talking points for MOS' dialogue session; which she have oni assigned to me ytd (~_~)





Yipee, it's my style to do things to the best of my ability once i started it!


(P/s: Thanks to Lim who have reminded me this strength of myself =P)





i look forward to more exciting work assigned to me in the days to come...





No doubt, i'm starting to love this job of mine bit by bit and with the help of friendly staffs that i have around me, i took me less than a day to be immersed into this great place; which i will have the priceless chance to stay on for 2 weeks (-_-)





Hope that i will take away valuable knowledge and fond memories then =)

Although this is not the 1st time i'm doing Mega Sandcastle building, i still gotta Sun Burned :p



What's worse is the fact that a series of unfortunate incidents happened to me 2dae :



1. The 2nd town's Sandcastle that i was working on was 'attacked' by the strong waves which go higher and higher up!!! We have to end up building HIGH walls to prevent the water from demolishing our masterpiece :X However, in the end, the towel still collapse due to 'vadalism'...



2. This was a super long walk from Area E all the way to East Coast's Mac or even the bicycle shop. Under the merciless hot sun, we have to endure the torture and walk and walk and walk.. My left leg can hardly take it anymore, how i wish i can have Magic power and just bypass the whole painful journey in a spilt second +) It was more horrible when my used-to-be-always- trustable Checker scandals broke off at one side! How long more do you expect poor me to walk???



3. Upon reaching MACs (OMG at last!) we order yummy meals and guess what my beloved MacCafe ice latte went straight onto the floor when i just finished purchasing it!!! Was it due to my tireness or extreme pain in my lft ankle after walking 3km? It was so embarassing and i totally have no mood to queue and buy another cup. Looks like i am just not fated to taste even a slip this new drink 2dae :p



4. After Lunch, ppl suggest to rent bikes! Yes, dun nid to walk animore but how can i ride a bicycle when my leg is hurting lyk crazy and my shoe hanging halfway? Me gave up the idea and join the rest for a never-ending game of mixed balls! Haha, tell you something very funny; my class can switch from playing Volleyball to soccer and Captian's ball to Ruby just lyk that :D Really dun understand y guys just love the soccer ball so much ?!? Ops, there go my next shoe...it broke off as well. Lol



5. Me wanted to go back VJ de but 2dae they have no training as i think IP still having Exams or something... So sad, i came all the way to East liao yet never get the chance to enter the most-favoured college and the home-warming underground range :X Guess i simply miss VJ too much and believe it or not, i'm still pretty Emo when i come to areas around her! In fact, this morning, i purposely took the same bus that i used to take during 1st 3 months, sat @ my usual seat and drop off @ the VJ side and walked all the way down to the Sandcastle building area, next to the Water skiiing Lagoon :P A bit stupid and waste of energy i know but i just wanna see see my VJ-- even from far or outside oso Good (-_-)



It will always be my regret to not be able to stay on with my CCAmates, CTCouncil ppl, my class and the many frens that i have made then...Yup, that include my beloved OG +)



2dae reallie very sad, face look lyk Red nose raindeer, hand CUT by Vball, leg pain, whole body ache and 'burned'... can merely walk myself to the Bus stop in the evening with the pair of broken scandals...

Recognise this place? Yes, underpass towards AMK hub. i dun tjink he is local and has successfully attrcted a large crowd of Curious Singaporeans... Some even took our their camera phones to snap a piture or two (including myself) :p

Unfortunately, the SMRT staffs in Purple uniform came to i think ask him to leave and stop the stoning act he was doing etc.

881- Papaya sisters!

Went to watch 881 with my family over the weekend and OMG...

This show is really super nice! Not only does it have 亲情，友情 but also 爱情 =) Although the name of the show and their advertising poster (above) do not seems so attractive, it's a great film of this first-ever young and talented Singaporean director-- Royston Tan.

Two years ago, he went to my school to do a presentation about the local film industry and screened some short films that he produced then... This guy is indeed a gifted director; just look at his achievement now and you will know what i mean :p i have never expected someone of our age group to have such deep understanding of Geitai and best of all promote it by giving it a make-over and bring it to the big screen +) Royston really roxz man.

I also think his idea of injecting humour and inviting young actress such and May and Choy is a good move. If you think Gitai and this movie is for Aunties and Uncles, you are very wrong... Go view it yourself and i'm sure you will be moved to tears (lyk what Royston managed to do to most of his audience successfully!)

Witnessing the Royston that i knew becoming such an amazing leader and bringing the concpet of 'movie with local theme' to greater heights, i'm very Happie for him!!! This is no doubt a local production not (never) to be missed so catch 881 and support good local movies like 881 (",)

Gosh, have been so busy nowadays that i hardly have time to sleep; what's more about Updating my beloved blog....





Sorry, i promise to make an effort to post once or twice (although, i will love to have more but... NO time...really!!!) every month :p





I wrote this entry lyk 12 mindnite on the dot so it didn't register under 17 August (Friday) date :( Well, it's ok, i just wanted the date as it is so RARE that i actually went back to Unit to help out :X





Feel a bit guilty to not go back @ all to 'visit' my very own squad so Ya... i was back 2dae :)





Miss the school? A little bit lor, espcially so when it will be gone soon to make way for new building which i don't see the rationale in it as the 11-year-old compound is still quite well-kept!





NP is still the same old thing with the standard activities for parade and stuffs... Afterall, i just left Unit for 1 year oni so not much of a change except the Sec3s now take over and got a new squad with such an interesting name +)





You know what; i'm supposed to go out and play de lor... Watch Movie with XXX, yet i so 'committed' and went back to run parade and teach them "Jalan Perlahan Jalan"... What to do, Unit is really short of Manpower and i go back with Sher so anything lor...





Hey, i'm using so much Singlish!!! (OMG...ignore me-- i'm just sidetracking:p) So, we were @ my Unit... Yes, we lost our OC and oni got 1 CI this year--Pathetic, rite?-- All thanks to the 'loyal' batch of mine :D Wait, it is not that i dun wanna go back but i have expected to have lots of things to do in college. True enough, JC ppl are just so busy! CCA, College life, CIP, NYAA, Tutorials, Mugging and that stupid A levels' awaits us @ the end of this intensive 2 years (only)!





Seeing the J2s all so stressed up now, i'm getting to worry as well (*_*) As such, i can oni go back as and when i'm free and not a as Full-time CI... Sorry for that :X Perhaps, that is only possible after A's?!?

Something Good and something Bad happened during our class CIP with the organisation that Jeremy suggest to partner with-- Touch.





We won't involved in the planning but having to witness this funky scoccer match9es0 b/e the primary schools is rather interesting...





We have it held at a Secondary school then ask ppl from JC (us :) and Poly to help out-- It's lyk a total combination of all the different levels of our education system +)





It was great that i was aked to be the personal assistance of he manager oversee-ing the entire event then! i get to go around " Hu Jia Fu Wei" behind her :p My job was simply to follow her and give out the schedule sheet to guests (parents and VIPs), record and display the current scores, look after the prizes and medals and of course set up the Prize giving table for closing ceremony towards the end :)





This type of Admin work is something i'm good at so no prob but...





while i was giving out the colourful A4 programme sheet to the guest, i was hit be a hard flying soccer ball right in the face! as a result, my specs is bent terribly :( No choice, got to go w/o my new Purple specs and try to look pretty and not blur througout the whole event... Afterall, working with the management leh, how can you afford to be blur???





Overall, it was an unique experience-- i get to meet Lionel's fren and gotta his signature, just that i have to make a trip down to 'visit' my ever-busy optician and ask him for help on a SAT afternoon :X

i realised something: different school have different ways of naming their classes :X





For instance some colleges call it CT-- civil tutorial, while others call in PDG-- personal development group!?! Lol





Nevertheless, they still consist of about 25 ppl each and be lucky that 23/07 have a bdae to celebrate those PDGs behind (ie after 31/07)

Cameron Diaz's character, Amanda, travels to England while Kate Winslet's character, Iris, travels to Los Angeles. Both women continue to live parallel lives throughout the film, each becoming involved with men who are a part of the other's life. Kate Winslet's character, Iris, learns that the man she has been pining over for a few years is actually a cad who is not worth her time and she finds a healthier, more positive relationship with Jack Black's character, Miles. Cameron Diaz's character, Amanda, learns how to let people in again and experience true love after years of keeping walls up around her.

The beginning of The Holiday seems a bit contrived and artificial as we watch Cameron Diaz's character, Amanda, have an uninspired and unprovoked tantrum and throw her boyfriend (played by Ed Burns) out of her house. The circumstances leading up to Kate Winslet's character's need for a change seems much more organic, and we can really feel her pain. There were also some odd choices made by the writer and/or director over the course of the film, such as an unexplained dog who is living in the house that Amanda (Cameron Diaz) is borrowing for the week. Is it Iris's dog or Amanda's dog? And why would someone leave their dog with a complete stranger? If you focus on the broader strokes as opposed to the details, the film is much more believable.

Eventually Iris and Amanda's worlds intersect in more ways than one. The moral I got from this story is that life can change at any moment… and for the better. I also found it inspiring that these two characters acted on a hunch to make some much needed changes in their lives and that hunch pays off for both women.

Trust me, the movie is simply a 2hour enjoyment for one to, totally let go of every task on hand but just, be endulged in the show +) I like the way how things can turn out to be so perfect and the contrast between the lives of the 2 Hollywood A-listers. It is also interesting to watch how the love romance of Amanda (Cameron) and Iris (Kate) develop as the show progresses...

It's even more exciting to witness the Ups and Downs of the accidental love between Cameron and Jude and Very touching to see them being together finally :)

Well, Love is such a wonderful thingy that i guess all will wish to be engaged in; especially so after watching this fabulous modern day-fairytale-like-love-story (^_^)

Sharing session again: I just finished watching this most EXCELLANT Korean drama ever-- with great actors and pretty actress, perfect storyline w/o any loop-holes!

I'm lyk so crazy over it to the extent that i went to Voice record the songs of this show (well, it has a couple of names: 麻辣女人，可恶的女人们，Rude woman, The daring sisters etc) with my MP4 as i could not find the song tracks online...

Whenever, i listen to those songs, i will think of A-zhu-ma "Mi Ju" and " Rookie" OMG, trust me they are super lovely despite the age difference and stuffs! So happy for them that they are finally tgt @ the final episode///Ops, i shouldn't sae more.

I STRONGLY recommend all K-fans to watch this show as it's really worth it and simply Wonderful (^_^) i shall continue my love for Lee Ki-Woo by catching his another drama with RAIN n Mina <A Love to Kill> soon +)

My 2 sisters (Yes, both of them) will be in Pulau Ubin for their NP camp respectively. Being in the same Area always has its advantages; whereby lots of events will be held tgt via Area-based. For example, camp dates, competitions and various HQ activities will be scheduled by our Area no.





I simply love Area 5, as we have 3 (used to be oni Maris and Cedar) Gold units lor!!! Somemore is 1 girl, 1 boy and 1 mixed namely, Cedar, Maris Stella and Bartley :) Super, rite? No doubt we are the best Area :D





Back to my point, my two sisters are gone and at last, i can do my work and study in a quiet or should i say Noise-free environment for the upcoming common tests...





Oh no, they are just a fortnight away LOL.

I received this chain email from one of my friends and it shocked me after reading the Story:

If this doesn't touch u.....you're heartless... One night a guy & a girl were driving home from the movies. The boy sensed there was something wrong because of the painful silence they shared between them that night. The girl then asked the boy to pull over because she wanted to talk. She told him that her feelings had changed & that it was time to move on. A silent tear slid down his cheek as he slowly reached into his pocket & passed her a folded note. At that moment, a drunk driver was speeding down that very same street. He swerved right into the drivers seat, killing the boy. Miraculously, the girl survived. Remembering the note, she pulled it out & read it. "Without your love, I would die."

It's so scary; Something like "What if tomorrow never comes" which is a long yet touching poem that i read during my Primary school days...

Those were the happie days and JR when are we having the outing this holi???

Till 2dae, i'm still eating the Durian Pancakes...

All thanks to my sis who told me to help her QUEUE and buy this very nice Durian pancake from AMK Hub but only ate 1 out of the 5 that i bought :p

No doubt, this is one of the best Durian pancake around but eating the same thing for days can be quite scary! but still, i think it's worth it to Queue almost half an hour for it however, the next time i will just buy ONE and eat hot (with cold durian fillings) on the spot +)
