My Singapore :)

After my Family ( or rather relative) trip to Malaysia, this National Day, i learn to appreciate Singapore more :p

I have never spend any of the fifteen National Day oversaes but this year, i did. We (refering to EVERYONE of somewhat 6 car-load of ppl) went over to my "Uncle's" landed house in Johore for a Home-made BBQ session and holi =)

Despite the need to wait for whose car and which family, we managed the long drive up to the house where we spent the next 2day1nite at. I usually hate the ride as it is tiring and HUMPY-- i see it as a waste of time that all have got to undergo before the Fun. LOL. Luckily, i was in the same car as hao and we used the time to 'catch up ' with one another. Afterall, he is of 'my age' and we can communciate fairly well :)

There, we enjoyed the short stay, BBQ party where we got endless food supply (left) and the journey here and there from places to places: be it visiting attractions or shopping @ hypermarket. However, the places in M'sia are not as 'well' as compared to Singapore.

No doubt that food and things are cheaper but the environment is not as ideal. Messy streets and dirty toilets still exist and unlike Singapore, we dun feel that safe while walking, especially when alone! I miss the low crime rate security that Singapore has and the multi-racial and religous Openess that she is granted with :]

Come on, it is national Day and i miss my country, the national Dae Theme song and much more. It is not that i have never been to other ctries before; in fact, i went to a few other non South East Asian ctries but this particular trip to M'sia aloow me to compare it with my hometown best. Regardless of the same type of tropical fruits and similar food dishes available, it is still not the same when you are in M'sia instaed of Singapore.

Perhaps, it is just that my sense of belonging to Singapura is too strong. I love this place and am glad that i am born here! I am also proud to be a NDP participant for 2 years... Which odrinary citizen will get to be invlove in NDP for more than once?

I like the feel of being WELCOMEd at World's Best Changi Airport upon landing :X No matter what, i am happy to be a 100% Singaporean.

As promised, i'm here to tell you the BIRTHDAE of this wonderful girl who i admire so much...

Well, she is none other than 刘品言 (言言)

“台湾青春偶像剧《格斗天王》围绕着T.F.K.C职业格斗赛展开。担纲男主角的是孙协志和王仁甫。而剧中女主角叶优里的扮演者名叫刘品言，她是台湾组合Sweety中的一名漂亮美眉。

　　在《格斗天王》中，段氏企业接班人段宇桥(孙协志饰)，外号“银色钢琴手”，承继父亲的嗜好创立“T.F.K.C.”(全亚洲最高荣誉之格斗比赛)；刘品言则演破旧不堪的“格斗馆”馆主叶优里。为了收购格斗馆、改建商业大楼，段宇桥与叶优里可说是不打不相识，还用乐声来分高下，两人在擂台上，分别弹钢琴与拉小提琴秀音乐。为了这场戏，刘品言的妈妈特别请朋友做了一把“压克力”小提琴，刘品言说：“那把小提琴至少有6公斤重，拍完不但脖子酸，连肩膀都押出痕迹；有一次我激动地甩头发，脖子还差点扭伤呢！其实我不会拉提琴，所以向朋友苦练了一下‘型’，姿势应该还不错吧！”

　　这个演戏认真的刘品言其实才17岁，就曾出演偶像剧《西街少年》中的蓝玉梨，古装剧《仙剑奇侠传》中的阿奴。她与另一个同是1988年出生的美少女曾之乔早在3年前就组成Sweety。出道后，她们先在一张《Wewillgoonthestage》合辑中献声，之后又推出专辑《嗨！SWEETY》，不过反响平平。不久前她们在台湾推出新专辑《17岁不温柔》，仅在专辑上市当周，就成为台湾g-music排行榜的冠军，打败盘踞在榜首已经很久的蔡依林。目前她们一边在忙娱乐圈的工作，还一边在中学念书。曾之乔也参与了《格斗天王》的拍摄，她在剧中演小葵。”

Ops, is these too much for you??? Basically, She is just a eighteen years old girl who started out singing and acting @ the age of 16!!! Yes, she is very brave :) Indeed, i lyk her in everyway; all the shows she acted in esp. 格斗天王 and 绿光森林

Although she is only 2 years older than me, she has achieved quite a lot! Both in acting and singing experiences she somone who no one will believe that she is only 17 ( then when acting Green Forest My Home.) She is just too mature and 懂事 for her age +)

Standing next to William, they just looked lyk a perfect couple, isn't it?

Yan Yan sings well too! in fact, i think her voice is nicer than the other Sweety :P

Not any length of essay can truly express my admiration and love for this gal (left =)

Since, today is her bdae, i will lyk to wish her 生日快乐 :) Best wishes for all aspects of her-- Career, Love Life, Health etc.

Yeah, it is Party time and hope she celebrates her 18th birthdae happily!!!

SuperBAND

Me just finished watching SuperBand finals hosted by the four ppl in the photograph above :p

Among the four judges, i oni know Yes 933 DJ 周崇庆and 许环良

i agree with 许环良 with the fact that Age is doesn't matters and that AGE will never be a factor for Music :)

Just look @ Mi Lu Bing, despite being the youngest band, they got into the top 18, top 4 finalists and the Fianl 2 best band. Winning SOUL in the competition has made them the champion of this year's SUPERBAND... YES, they are now Singapore's #1 BAND congratz.

Although i oni watched Superband for this once, i can say confidently that 迷路兵 is GOOD. Their band name is vute, so are the three of them! Esp. Nick. I simply love the part where he sang 小薇. I am 'drowned' in their music! They are no doubt the ultimate SUPERBAND!

The other team that i lyk a lot is SOUL +) They dance soooo well! lyk how the judges put it, their dance skills are of International standard (direct translation from Chinese). However, i am quite disappointed with their last song of the night. Not ni did they sang out of tune, they did not 'catch' the correct count as well :X

The other two bands that got into the Top 4 as well are Lucify (above) and J3. I think Lucify is good in a way that they never fails to make the whole hall Rock and J3's singing Rocks :X How i wish to listen to J3's 绝世版的小薇 again...

Crepes n cream!

You may wonder why this entry is entitled "Crepes and Cream"...

Well, to me, i think Crepes and ice Cream should go together, just lyk Beacon and Egg :X

My very first time eating Crepes is obviously @ "Crepes n Cream" +) it was really delicious and after one plate, you feel lyk eating another plate all over again! Crepes come in either Plain, Wheat or sun-dried. Personally, i simply lyk the plain one :) Apart from the taste, presentation of the dish is also extremely important. Serve it with Wine, anybody???

Thanks for 'your' lunch treat of the Market Place's Beef and Bell Peppers (My favourite) Crepes! It was awesome =)

This few days, i have been wondering the history and origin of CREPES. If you do know where exactly Crepes come from etc. Do pen a comment down below (-_-)

Whose Birthdae is it 2dae?

Yeah, todae is our beloved Chemistry Teacher's Ms A Sim's birthdae =)

Dun ask me or anyone of us how we get to noe about it; cos we just heard 'news' about the fact that it is her birthdae todae! Often, we students will have a way to find out teachers' birthdays :X

No wonder she is rather happy and was so kind n caring to me ( well, she always was :) when i talked to her along the corridor then... She is just so glad in school 2dae.

So, she is a wonderful teacher that truly care for my class lots. Having her for Chemistry for 2 years is a blessing. Not to mention the thing that no one will be able to put across those complicated ( and sometime long-winded) Chemistry theories to us so well. No doubt she is the most appoachable teacher and best Chem SH!

Best wishes Ms Sim and may you find you dream guy soon :p

Just lyk you who wish to see us do well in the upcoming Perlims and O's, we wish you all the best and Hope you lyk the card that my class did for you just in a hour or two!?!

Oh yes, not to forget the crazy thing that my class and 4S did: We all went to stand along the 3rd level corridor despite Mr Eric Tan ( who handsomely wore spescs to school 2dae) is heading to class for lesson! We all sang our school's version of Happy Birthdae Song to Ms Sim who was on 4th level, waiting outside a Sec 3 class for her nxt lesson! the whole school heard the Bdae song and us shouting, " Ms Sim, we love you" (*_*)

Birthdays are something that one should celebrate, be it being the Sweet Sixteen's, Grand 21's or whatever age ( it doesn't matter) Just enjoy this special dae dedicated to you (^_^) soon, there will be another girl celebrating her bdae. As for who...
